Kat with a K

Do it do it do it! I'm starting a Really Late Rogue knitalong for those of us who missed it the first several times around. ;-) Come on, join us!

Helen

Hey there. I'm with you.
Rogue has been whispering to me, but I've yet to find its yarn. So I am among those who've yet to Rogue.
The yarn I would LOVE to knit it from would make it too expensive for me.....

anj

I have not knit rogue yet either... not that I haven't owned the pattern for over a yr. And, btw, it is ALL YOUR FAULT that I bought and made Eris. If you had never linked it I would have been none the wiser.

So yes, knit rogue. Knit yourself something out of that gorgeous yarn. I think you'll look fabu in it.

And perhaps I'll even try rogue too.

Elizabeth D

Juno, that is a lovely and elegant green. You'll look more like a powerful woods goddess than anything else. . .

JoVE

Just so you don't feel so alone, not only have I not knit Rogue, I don't even have the pattern. And if you wear green, then go for it. Tall people don't often get mistaken for elves.

valentina

Hi. I'm awake now. What'd I miss? I hear the Rogue pattern is 16 pages long, reason alone to buy it. Such diligence has to be rewarded. No opinion on the yarn, but if you love it, do it. Oh, and finish something, will ya?

Elena

Could you please explain how you could be a forest elf in a bad way?
No, you can't.
Make it, so that I can live vicariously through you and continue to believe that someday I, too, will make this sweater.

Kristen

I hadn't considered the possibility that I'd look like a forest elf in my (at this point theoretical) olive'ish green Rogue. I say go for it - I'll gladly bow down to you, Queen of the green rogue'd elves.

Kellee

Don't do it! They're just trying to suck you in for the blog fodder!

*Ahem* Seriously, I'm currently mid-Rogue for the olympic knitting (we will not discuss the fact that I'm MID-rogue with a mere 30-ish hours to go), and I can highly reccomend it, but I also opted out of the front pocket. Why? Because no one really needs a tummy pouch -- except maybe a mama kangaroo. I vote yes on the pattern b/c it's a fun knit, yes on the sweater itself b/c I do actually think it would look great on you, and yes on the forest green b/c it seems like such a fantastic color for you. Plus, you KNOW you always wanted to grow up to be the elf queen.

maggie

You would look fabulous no matter what you wear...go for it!

Chris

Hee hee. I haven't knit it or tried... but I do own the pattern. I actually am more drawn to Eris, since I really don't feel the need for a hood or a pouch pocket.

The Giant Forest Eel image is priceless...

melanie

Well, I certainly see a consensus here. Elves - good. Rogue - good. Green - good. Green Rogue on you - good!

funoozer

I made one for me and one for my husband. No pockets on either. It's fun and easy to alter this pattern to fit either a girl--add or subtract shaping at the top or bottom of the side cable---or a boy---delete the side cable entirely and add that cable down the middle of the sleeve. My husband wore his every day for the first five days that he had it!

Cassie

What's wrong with elves?

Jessica

Mine is green and I'm pretty sure I don't look like an elf in it.
The shape is very flattering on all figures. They weren't lying.

Imbrium

I think it will be lovely. Go for it!

Beth S.

It's no bad thing to look like an Elf. The Tolkienian variety, anyway. Go for it!

I haven't tried Rogue yet either, but then again I'm usually late to these parties. ;-)

lanea

SOOOO PRETTTTY! Now, I am rather partial to the elven, of course, and think that particular color would fix a lot of nasty visual pollution I suffer through. But I think it would be lovely.

I've never knit Rogue either, because I wear cardigans almost exclusively (as in I wear a cardigan almost every day, but with other clothes--not cardigans as pants and skirts or anything quite that wacky). Please don't make me knit Rogue now--I haven't the time . . . or do I? How long does it take one to get caught committing labor fraud if one works in a fishbowl, I wonder?

Christina

Juno,

I've not knit Rogue because of my size. I wouldn't do the pocket if I did. I'll be cheering you from the sidelines.

P.S. Maybe a lighter color for the cables to show better?

adelaide

What is that yarn?

Carole

I haven't made it either - for pretty much the same reasons you said. I'm just not sure it would suit my size. I wish I had seen you in Julia's, though, because it would have given me some clues. And you know Steph and Julia would tell you the truth. I say, go for it.

Norah

That will be an excellent color on you and you will look fabulous in it! So go for it!!

AuntyNin

You're not the only person who hasn't made it - I look at it and debate, but my mental image of me in Rogue resembles Shrek more than anything else.

Still, the yarn is gorgeous, and would work well with the pattern.

Laurie

It's a good color. Elves are in the twinkling eye of the beholder. I think negotiating about the pocket isn't a bad idea, but you can do that as you get to it. Haven't seen a bad Rogue yet, y'know.

Martha

That is a beautiful color. You would be in good company with a green Rogue!
