I have had ennui.  It maybe showed?

But I have been to the gymnasium, which always helps, and I have eaten spinach, ditto.

And though I have not done a little dance, nor in fact, made a little love, I did indeed get down last night.

The sweater A l'Orange is no more.  But I still love the yarn.  So it is enjoying a refreshing swim.  We will see if it recovers.

The Jo Sharp Desert Garden Sarong that has been on hiatus since July of of 2004?
Gone, gone, gone.

This one I never liked - the color, while pretty, was not what I wanted.  I wanted dandelion, or parakeet, not garnet.  Anyone want it?  8 untouched balls, plus at least 8 in this giant recovered skein.  There's also a little handful of 12 or 14 inch bits that were going to be the fringe - since this was loosely knit I changed balls at the edge and trimmed the fringe-useful lengths as I went.  If you're interested, I'll weigh the lot and guesstimate the yardage.  First comment to claim it gets it.  I'll even pay the shipping, that's how happy I am to have this out of my house. (It was about a month from becoming a great and terrible new god of retribution.) (Reference?  Anyone?)

I feel better already.  (I still need to finish something before beginning something else, but that final sleeve is looking totally manageable right now. And then?  Cables.  I'm thinking cables.)

well done you! this is how deserving yarn ends up in other peoples' closets attaining purpose, rather than haranguing us and ruining our karma.

Next time dye it the colour you want - if you like the texture of the yarn, that is. It is an easy process and results could be fantastic. A light blue over that pink would be the best mauve!

It's from Douglas Addams, *The Long Dark Tea-time of the Soul*, right? I think that was a fridge, but only because Addams has probably never experienced the deep vengefulness of yarn. :)

Is that quote from LOTR? It sounds familiar... (I should know this, but I'm a little muddled right now).

Glad these beautiful yarns are getting a new start AND you are finding new life in your craft. Spinach is a good thing. So is ice cream. ;)

Beets with cottage cheese does it for me. In case you need to enlarge your repertoire.

I bet that feels better -- like that light free feeling you get right after a haircut!

Is it pulp fiction? I'm off to search now.

I am so happy that Martha and several others got here before me. The last thing I need is more yarn, no matter that it is my favorite color in the universe.

When that first picture came up I thought it was a big ol' mess of ground beef. Which made me think, "WTF?" Happy to see it was actually fibery goodness.

Ah, sweet destruction.

What is it that some mommas say to their recalcitrant offspring....I brought you into this world and I can take you out!

;-)

Sometimes it feels really, really good to rip, and I guess this was one of those times. Brava! :-)

I know what you mean about the wheel and complex thought. It's funny how spinning has changed my knitting. I knew it would, and so I resisted forever and a day... but now that it's actually happened, I just don't care. I like things much better the way they are now. ;-)

You don't like pretty garnet yarn? Too bad. But good for whoever gets it...doesn't look like it'll be me, but feel free to send garnet whatever this way if you find more elsewhere.....

That's it: shake it off.

Gotta love it when ripping it all out makes you feel happy instead of frustrated!

You reclaim the HELL out of that yarn. Good for you : )

Juno's got her groove back! You go, girl.

Oh, that always makes me feel better, too. I can't wait to see what you have in mind for cables... do you have something in mind?

A little deconstruction always makes me feel better too.

YaaaY! I can feel your lightening of spirit from here. That'll teach them to nag!

You have vanquished Nemesis. :D

Hurrah for liberation!

Ripping always does the trick for me when I'm feeling in a funk. It's so satisfying to destroy the object that's been niggling at you - it's *almost* worth having unlovely things around ready to be frogged when the mood takes you. Looking forward to seeing the cables.

Hurray! Psychic weight lessened by many (much?).

i no on has claimed the yarn, i will give it a home :-)

Two wips gone, just like that and more yarn too. That will teach the rest of the wip bag to buck their ideas up.

If Martha changes her mind, I'll take it too. ;)

I need to do what you're doing though. Take a long, hard look at what's not working and liberate the yarn.
